5 th  Annual  Ithaca Fantastik Ithaca, NY - Thursday Nov. 9 th  to 13 th  2016 For its 5 th  anniversary, the Ithaca Int ’ l Fantastic Film Festival got a new name, a new logo, and a new competition series! For the last five years, our team has worked hard to offer our audience, not only movies—but also art exhibits, concerts and parties. We felt it was time to simplify the excessively long acronym (I.I.F.F.F.), as well as to reflect the diversity of the media we offer. We are returning this fall (from Nov, 9th to 13th )  under  the new moniker ITHACA FANTASTIK. We hope you di g the change!   GUILLERMO DEL TORO, TAKASHI MIIKE AMONG THE ICONS COMING TO CELEBRATE THE FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL’S 20th ANNIVERSARY A CHEVAL NOIR FOR GUILLERMO DEL TORO The 20th edition of the Fantasia Film Festival will be presenting leading genre filmmaker Guillermo del Toro with its prestigious Cheval Noir Award, which del Toro will accept in person in his first-ever Montreal appearance. Del Toro, best known for such fantasy and horror classics as PAN'S LABYRINTH, THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, CRONOS, CRIMSON PEAK, and the HELLBOY movies, will also deliver a Master Class at Fantasia. In addition, del Toro will host the Canadian premiere of Gilles Penso and Alexandre Poncet's CREATURE DESIGNERS: THE FRANKENSTEIN COMPLEX, a fascinating documentary on the history of movie monstermakers, in which he is featured prominently in. Monster Fest announces the appointment of Kier-La Janisse as Festival Director for 2016

Australia’s premier festival of cult, horror and the fantastic, Monster Fest is thrilled to announce the appointment of its new Festival Director, renowned Canadian film programmer and author Kier-La Janisse . Returning to Melbourne’s Lido Cinemas for its sixth edition, Monster Fest 2016 has been scheduled for to take place November 24-27 . Monster Fest has also announced that submissions for Features, Short Films and Expanded Cinema Projects open on February 26 with an Early Bird Deadline of April 29 , a Regular Deadline of June 3 and a final, Extended Deadline of August 12, 2016 .
