Fresh on the heels of 5 Academy Award nominations, let's take a look at the Blur-ray release of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. The Film If you haven't seen PROMOSING YOUNG WOMAN, remedy that immediately. Stop reading this and go watch the film. Ok, you're back. You watched the film? Its pretty damn great, huh? When we meet Cassie (Carey Mulligan) she is protecting others while confronting something mysterious from her past. She has completely let go of her personal or self serving goals in the name of a higher purpose.   The film has been rightly praised by critics and audiences alike for its writing, performances, and direction. Its not often that original films like PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN are embraced so widely but it seems like we got this one right. I imagine this film will be sadly evergreen for years to come.  The way we treat sexuality in Western culture needs honest and thoughtful examination.   Today I chat with the director and writer of HAPPILY BenDavid Grabinski. The film stars Joel McHale, Kerry BishΓ©, Stephen Root, Paul Scheer, Breckin Meyer, Natalie Zea, Natalie Morales, Jon Daly, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Charlyne Yi. HAPPILY is a film that is a bit difficult to sum up, so I've copied the synopsis from the press release below A happily married couple (Joel McHale and Kerry BishΓ©) discover their friends are resentful of their lustful relationship. NEON RETEAMS WITH ACCLAIMED FILMMAKER CΓ‰LINE SCIAMMA ON “PETITE MAMAN”

NEON is reuniting with acclaimed filmmaker CΓ©line Sciamma on Petite Maman following their successful collaboration on the revered Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Culmination, the fully integrated film production and sales company, today announced that they are producing and handling worldwide sales on the upcoming Jeff Buckley Biopic, Everybody Here Wants You, written by Dionne Jones.  Reeve Carney (Gucci, Penny Dreadful, Hadestown) will star as Jeff Buckley for BAFTA Award nominated producer Orian Williams (Control) in his directorial debut. HBO’s Q: INTO THE STORM, a six-part documentary series, charts a labyrinthine journey to unmask the mastermind behind QAnon. Q: INTO THE STORM debuts with two back-to-back episodes SUNDAY, MARCH 21 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), with new episodes airing back-to-back subsequent Sundays at the same time. The series will premiere on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max.
