Production will start September 20, 2021 in Austin, Texas on Hypnotic, directed by Robert Rodriguez and starring Academy Award winner Ben Affleck and Alice Braga (Queen of the South, City of God). The film was originally set to begin principal photography in April 2020 but was shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak. Hypnotic is a mind-bending action thriller about a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program--while investigating a string of impossible high-end crimes.  The film is written by Rodriguez and Max Borenstein (Godzilla franchise, Kong: Skull Island).  Rodriguez, Studio 8 CEO Jeff Robinov and his colleagues Guy Danella & John Graham are producing with Solstice. Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA)  has announced it's Grand Jury and Audience Award winners for the festival's 19th edition. Following an incredible response to fascinating panels focused on gender inclusion and diversity, alongside an impressive list of films honoring diversity in stories and filmmakers for the festival’s 19th edition, held virtually and geo-blocked to California and India this year from May 20th through today, May 27th. This female led film festival by Christina Marouda, Executive Director offered a number of special programs including “Childhood on Edge”  curated by Uma da Cunha, a panel featuring South Asian showrunners, and a special screening of Prakash Deka's Fireflies, followed by a panel on transgender and non-binary representation in India and the diaspora.
