Following Films Interview with BenDavid Grabinski on HAPPILY

  Today I chat with the director and writer of HAPPILY BenDavid Grabinski. The film stars Joel McHale, Kerry Bishé, Stephen Root, Paul Scheer, Breckin Meyer, Natalie Zea, Natalie Morales, Jon Daly, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Charlyne Yi. HAPPILY is a film that is a bit difficult to sum up, so I've copied the synopsis from the press release below A happily married couple (Joel McHale and Kerry Bishé) discover their friends are resentful of their lustful relationship. When a visit from a mysterious stranger leads to a dead body, they begin to question the loyalty of their so-called friends. The film will be available on all VOD platforms on 3/18.

Accidental Climber tells the story of Jim Geiger, a retired forest-worker, and amateur mountaineer from Sacramento, CA who at 68 years old, attempts to become the oldest American and first great grandfather to summit Mt. Everest. The film follows Jim as he embarks on a journey to transform from a weekend hiker to attempting one of the most extreme and physically demanding feats known to man. Driven by a desire to prove that age is just a number, Jim pushes his body to the limits, in a record-breaking quest to summit the world's tallest mountain. What ensued, however, was the worst disaster in mountaineering history, leaving sixteen climbers dead in a tragic avalanche and forever changing Jim's life. Sean Spillane on MURDER MADE EASY, JUG FACE, ALRO, and HIGHLAND HAWKS

While in college Sean Spillane co-founded a band called Otto which eventually became ARLO and went on to sign with Sub Pop Records in 2000. ARLO toured extensively in the U.S. and played with bands like The Shins, Wilco, and The Foo Fighters.  After ARLO disbanded he joined Midway, a Los Angeles based band with a rabid following. In 2010 he wrote, produced, recorded and performed original songs and the score for Lucky Mckee's "The Woman" which melted faces and made heads explode when it premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The following year, Spillane composed and wrote original 80's inspired songs for The Chiller Network's "Ghoul". In 2012 he composed and wrote songs for "Jug Face" a film starring former guest of the Following Films podcast, Lauren Ashley Carter. Joey Travolta on CAROL OF THE BELLS

Born into a show business family, Joey began his career as a performer in 1978 as a recording artist with Casablanca Records and starring in the feature film, Sunnyside (1979). Joey has directed and produced over 20 films, including the critically acclaimed Enemies of Laughter (2000). In 2005, Joey produced the documentary Normal People Scare M e while mentoring a fifteen-year-old boy with autism who directed the film. Inspired by that experience, Joey developed the curriculum for Inclusion Films, a program that has served hundreds of aspiring filmmakers. Before he made it on the big screen, Joey worked as a special education teacher in New Jersey.
