Saban Films has acquired North American rights to Kristoffer Nyholm’s KEEPERS

Saban Films has acquired North American rights to Kristoffer Nyholm’s Keepers , starring Gerard Butler ( Geostorm , 300 ), Peter Mullan ( Top of the Lake , Children of Men) and Connor Swindells. The thriller was produced by Andy Evans, Ade Shannon and Sean Marley for Mad As Birds Films, Butler and Alan Siegel for G-BASE, and Jason Seagraves and Maurice Fadida. Written by Joe Bone and Celyn Jones, and inspired by the Flannan Isle mystery, Keepers tells the story of three lighthouse keepers arriving on a remote, uninhabited island for a six-week shift, who discover something potentially life-changing that isn’t theirs to keep. Soon the three are locked in a tense battle for survival, fed by isolation and paranoia, as personal greed replaces loyalty. “Gerard brings a charm and tact to the grittiness of this action-packed film,” said Saban Films CEO Bill Bromiley. “Keepers is full of tension, allure, and suspense. We absolutely love it.”

THE ENTITLEMENT Trailer

THE ENTITLEMENT tells the story of a troubled young woman, who, upon arriving at an idyllic retreat for the suicidal, finds herself investigating a mysterious death away from the watchful eyes of the retreat’s enigmatic doctor and his wife. Along the way she meets a colorful group of lost souls, all of whom are destined to be each other’s last acquaintances before they decide to die. Audiences have called the film “funny”, “thought-provoking” and, “the next Twin Peaks.” “Many ideas and people inspired The Entitlement, from the ensemble of actors to the 1937 Spanish play Prohibido suicidarse en primavera. But, mostly, I was interested in a story built on acceptance of suicide as a given, a choice, with no stigma or questions, asked,” says GonzΓ‘lez. The film was shot entirely in New York. The diverse cast and crew comprises members and regular collaborators of Caborca, whose mission is to produce adventurous works at an intersection of the Latinx/Puerto Rican and experimental ar

QUALITY PROBLEMS - review

2018 Directed by: Brooke Purdy and Doug Purdy Starring: Brooke Purdy, Doug Purdy, Maxwell Purdy, and Mo Gaffney "I'm not on the PTA, I'm not even a booster...  I used to be punk rock" In 2008, Brooke Purdy was diagnosed with DCIS, a non-invasive form of breast cancer. She and her husband, Doug, had two small children and fought the disease with the weapons that most of us use in times of personal crisis, friends, family, and (quite possibly) most importantly a shared sense of humor. This life-changing experience was the catalyst that inspired QUALITY PROBLEMS, a semi-autobiographical take on their family’s survival. Brooke, Doug, and their two children, Max and Scout, star in the film, "a final chapter in their healing – and a vehicle for hope for families dealing with a diagnosis." Bailey (Brooke Purdy) and Drew (Doug Purdy) are a 40-something couple piecing together a suburban existence that many of us can relate to. Birthday parties, side j
