Street Survivors: The True Story Of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash Release Update

STREET SURVIVORS: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash was scripted and directed by Jared Cohn (Devil's Revenge, Devil's Domain), produced by Brian Perera and co-produced by Tim Yasui for Cleopatra Entertainment. The biopic recreates the story about the ill-fated flight through the eyes of former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle (who narrates the film), who not only survived the plane crash that claimed the life of the band's founder and front man Ronnie Van Zant amongst others, but who also physically pulled the remaining survivors out of the plane wreckage before staggering towards the nearest farmhouse in rural Louisiana to seek help. Pyle also contributes original music to the film's soundtrack.  Says Pyle: "This film's story - MY story - is not just about the plane crash but also about my personal relationship with the genius that was Ronnie Van Zant - whom I loved like a brother and still miss to this day."

Kevin Makely and Jennifer Ambrose on BADLAND

You can find BADLAND on Netflix and all the VOD platforms, but who are we kidding? You have Netflix, if you listen to this podcast, you have Netflix, right? If you don't let me know. Sean Spillane on MURDER MADE EASY, JUG FACE, ALRO, and HIGHLAND HAWKS

While in college Sean Spillane co-founded a band called Otto which eventually became ARLO and went on to sign with Sub Pop Records in 2000. ARLO toured extensively in the U.S. and played with bands like The Shins, Wilco, and The Foo Fighters.  After ARLO disbanded he joined Midway, a Los Angeles based band with a rabid following. In 2010 he wrote, produced, recorded and performed original songs and the score for Lucky Mckee's "The Woman" which melted faces and made heads explode when it premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The following year, Spillane composed and wrote original 80's inspired songs for The Chiller Network's "Ghoul". In 2012 he composed and wrote songs for "Jug Face" a film starring former guest of the Following Films podcast, Lauren Ashley Carter. Who in addition to being a gifted actress, does a wicked good Jodie Foster impersonation. I had Sean on the show to discuss one of his latest projects,

John Scheinfeld on The Happy Days of Garry Marshall

Today my guest is John Scheinfeld, a director best known for two widely acclaimed feature documentaries: The U.S. vs. John Lennon, which tells the true story of the US government's attempt to silence the beloved musician and iconic advocate for peace and Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?, a compelling yet wildly entertaining documentary about one of the most talented and uncompromising singer-songwriters in pop music history. I had John on the show today to talk about his latest film The Happy Days of Garry Marshall, a heartfelt tribute to a Hollywood legend. The stars of some of TV and film’s most iconic titles, including “Happy Days,” “Laverne & Shirley,” “Mork & Mindy,” “Pretty Woman” and “The Princess Diaries,” come together to celebrate “The Happy Days of Garry Marshall,” airing TUESDAY, MAY 12 (8:00 – 10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

Interview with Pi Ware Director of SKIN DEEP: THE BATTLE OVER MORGELLONS

Today on the podcast I had the chance to speak with Pi Ware about his documentary film SKIN DEEP: THE BATTLE OVER MORGELLONS. Those who claim to have Morgellons experience fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, and mysterious multi-colored fibers coming out of lesions on their skin. However, many medical professionals don’t acknowledge it as a real disease, but rather, argue that the symptoms are either self-inflicted or imaginary, that there's no infection, that Morgellons is simply a psychological disorder.
