Steve Holleran - FIRE CHASERS

This docuseries takes viewers into the heart of devastating wildfires in California. Due to factors that include climate change and altered vegetation patterns, the number of infernos that erupt during fire season are on the rise, leading to lives being lost and millions of dollars worth of damage being done. "Fire Chasers" follows members of Cal Fire and the Los Angeles County Fire Department as they battle the blazes that threaten wildlife, natural terrain and potentially thousands of homes. The show also highlights new recruits who are training to join the force and artists who document the apocalyptic-looking damage in photos.

Today my guest on the show the cinematographer for FIRE CHASERS, Steve Holleran. I asked Steve on the show to discuss the series, climate change, how skateboarding influenced his work, and an experimental one take film that takes place on the night of Trump's election called A BOY, A DREAM: LOVE ON ELECTION NIGHT.
