Episode 80 of the True Bromance Film Podcast - Bridge of Spies / Cold War Movies

Episode 80 We are talking about good versus evil this week in our debate about the best cold war films, as we pair that up with our review of the latest Spielberg/Hanks collaboration, Bridge of Spies.

Ep. 181 of War Machine vs. War Horse: The Martian (Apollo 13 vs. Gravity)

On this episode we attempt to survive in space with Hadas from the Common Room podcast, and thankfully we have a couple of movies on the subject to entertain us. In APOLLO 13, Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, and Kevin Bacon rely on each other and the crew back on Earth to put together a plan to return home after a failed trip to the moon, whereas in GRAVITY it’s Sandra Bullock in a solo quest to return to our home planet, although George Clooney does provide a brief pep talk. But before all that grim business, we express a little bit of joy with Jess and Non of the Joy Sandwich podcast, as we admire the humor with which Matt Damon approaches being stranded on Mars in new release THE MARTIAN.

Episode 134 of War Machine vs. War Horse: God Help The Girl (That Thing You Do vs. Not Fade Away)

On this episode we are inspired by new video release GOD HELP THE GIRL to program our own music themed podcast. We have a battle of the bands with two older films facing off in Tom Hanks' THAT THING YOU DO vs. David Chase's NOT FADE AWAY, with the added bonus of a look back into the past with our first ever podcast recording on this James Gandolfini starring film. We were also lucky enough to get to speak with filmmaker Raf Moscatel about his Kickstarter project THE LITTLE GIRL WITH THE BIG VOICE which you can support here:
