Peter Rajesh Joachim and Stevie Jay on BLOOD EMPIRES

Blood Empires is about pride, family, redemption, and above all love; struggling people on either side of the law, rise out of pain and misery. Daniel and Elena live in middle America. They crave love and acceptance in all the wrong places. Daniel is an unassuming hitman and enforcer with an even darker secret. Elena is an unlikely cop struggling with revenge. Peter Joachim traveled from India to Canada, shooting his first feature film in twelve days. This stylized allegory gives a window into the characters' everyday decisions. A DOG'S PURPOSE - Celebrate National Mutt Day Today with A Dog's Purpose

In celebration of #NationalMuttDay, we invite you to share your dog’s purpose. Add your furry friend's picture to the  film’s mosaic  and tell the world how your dog enriches the lives around you, or create your own  movie poster  using your dog’s photo. Every dog happens for a reason. Don’t miss #ADogsPurpose in theaters this January! Based on the beloved bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Purpose, from director Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, Dear John, The 100-Foot Journey), shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog (voiced by Josh Gad) who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.  The family film told from the dog’s perspective also stars Dennis Quaid, Peggy Lipton, Britt Robertson, K.J. Apa, Juilet Rylance, Luke Kirby, John Ortiz and Pooch Hall. A Dog’s Purpose is produced by Gavin Polone (Zombieland, TV’s Gilmore Girls).  The film from Amblin Entertainment

THE MUMMY - Teaser & Poster

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.  Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.   From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.  Cruise is joined by a cast including Annabelle Wallis (upcoming King Arthur, television’s Peaky Blinders), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Courtney B. Vance (TV’s American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Oscar® winner Russell

Pop Culture Case Study - Episode 194 - Sicario and Utilitarianism

In this episode, as we are bereft of any decent new releases, Dave decides to call an audible and pair our movie with the Bluray release of HELL OR HIGH WATER.  To do this, we chose a viewing of SICARIO, one of last year's best.  He brings back Berook, despite his questionable taste in classic science fiction to talk about Denis Villenueve's film. Barbara Crampton on BLOOD BROTHERS, WE ARE STILL HERE and YOU'RE NEXT

Barbara achieved her greatest enduring cult popularity as sweet college coed "Megan Halsey" in Stuart Gordon's terrific Re-Animator (1985). She gave an excellent performance as the ambitious, but prim and repressed "Dr. Katherine McMichaels" in the equally fine From Beyond (1986). Crampton was quite engaging as the perky "Suzie Lynn" in the fun Chopping Mall (1986) and typically solid as the unhappy "Susan Reilly" in Castle Freak (1995) Barbara returned to the horror genre with 2011's YOU'RE NEXT and has turned out some impressive work in films like; LORDS OF SALEM, WE ARE STILL HERE and SUN CHOKE. In addition to acting Barbara has produced 2015's ROAD GAMES and BEYOND THE GATES that's slated to be released on December 9, 2016.  Critically-acclaimed festival favorite THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES, from writer-director Jose Prendes, will be distributed in the US by Uncork’d Entertainment under new title BLOOD BROTHERS .

War Machine vs. War Horse: Loving (In the Mood for Love vs. Notes on a Scandal)

New release LOVING has us  IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, albeit of a particular scandalous variety. For that we of course turn to Judi Dench in NOTES ON A SCANDAL as that relatively forgotten Oscar contender goes up against Wong Kar-wai's modern classic. But first, is the latest from Jeff Nichols going to be perceived as a new classic come Oscar time? All of that and a battle between MIDNIGHT SPECIAL and ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES in our latest episode.

Episode 193 - Pop Culture Case Study - Allied

In this episode, Mike bows out and is replaced by Jamison of Real Films and Movie Mojo Monthly.  He and Dave talk about ALLIED and if it lives up to the talent involved.  Britt returns for fangirl fixation to talk about the absolutely terrible movies coming out.... Book Review: Man of the World: The further Endeavors of Bill Clinton

This book serves as eye-opener to many people who do not know, and refuses to know the history of politics. The book, Man of the World: The further Endeavors of Bill Clinton says a lot about his desired plans and future upbringing of the economy of the USA also his life right after presidency. It is popular around USA about his stepping down from the power because of uncontrolled controversies. Yet, with Bill Clinton being the President, it can't be denied that he had done more than what the media says, and this book is the legit proof of them all. It is always expected from media to turn stories the way they want and if anyone is hungry for knowledge about what he had really done for this great country, it is far more recommended to get this book, sit with it and absorb every reality-slapping truth. One of Bill Clinton's best move was his devotion to wide assistance of healthcare, maintaining peace and erasing conflicts, and solving unresolved issues within his constituents.
