Dark Sky Films Brings COMA to Blu-ray + DVD on 8/4

After a tragic accident, a young architect wakes up in a dystopian world: COMA. Here, reality is made from the memories of people who have fallen into a comatose state. Cities, rivers and the sky all flow in and out of each other -fragmented and unstable just like our memories. The common laws of physics don't exist and nightmarish reapers roam the land spreading death. Having lost most of his own memory, the architect must develop new skills to survive and adapt to the chaos around him. On his search for a way back to reality, he joins a rogue group of fighters and discovers a secret that will affect their lives forever.

COMA will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/4. Until then check out the trailer below. From a visual perspective it certainly appears to be playing in the INCEPTION sandbox, considering TENET has been pushed back indefinitely, this is a welcome homage. What do you think?

Hits as varied as those he’s directed, like Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and those he’s produced, like Superbad and Bridesmaids, are all unified by their honest, unflinching, comic look at how complicated it is to grow up in the modern world. Apatow has also built a history of helping break distinctive new comedy voices into the mainstream, from Seth Rogen to Lena Dunham, among many others. Now, in his fifth feature film as a director, Apatow again brings a portrait of an unforgettable character, and a portrayal by a breakout new comedy star, together in a film written by and starring AMY SCHUMER (TV’s Inside Amy Schumer) as a woman who lives her life without apologies, even when maybe she should apologize.
