Cameron Van Hoy to Direct David Mamet's THE PRINCE

It was announced today that Cameron Van Hoy (Flinch) is set to direct THE PRINCE, based on a screenplay penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning and Academy Award nominee playwright David Mamet (Heist, Hannibal). Scott Haze (Old Henry, Venom), Nicolas Cage (Pig, Dream Scenario), JK Simmons (Whiplash, Being the Ricardos), Giancarlo Esposito (“Parish,” “Breaking Bad”), and Andy Garcia (Godfather Part III, Ocean’s Eleven) have all joined the ensemble cast. Haze and Van Hoy will also produce alongside Sean Wolfington, Jo Henriquez, and Lije Sarki, with John Devaney, CJ Kirvan, and Jose Luiz Zapata serving as executive producers.

The Prince chronicles an addict's tumultuous odyssey through the high-stakes world of power, pleasure, and pain on a transformative journey toward recovery.

"It’s amazing to work with David Mamet on this wildly original screenplay," said Van Hoy. "Collaborating with him, Academy Award winners Nicolas Cage and J.K. Simmons, along with Giancarlo Esposito, Andy Garcia, and my dear friend and collaborator Scott Haze, is a dream."
