Turtle Power Takes Over Tucson Comic-Con 2025!

Cowabunga, dudes! Turtle Mania is set to hit Tucson Comic-Con like a slice of pepperoni pizza flying out of the sewer, and fans of all ages won’t want to miss it.

This year’s convention, running from August 29–31, 2025, at the Tucson Convention Center, celebrates the 35th anniversary of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie (1990) in a shell-shocking way. Whether you grew up quoting Mikey’s one-liners or you’re raising the next generation of ninja turtle fans, this is your moment.

In an epic reunion, all four original Turtle actors from the 1990 live-action film will be in attendance:

  • David Forman (Leonardo)
  • Leif Tilden (Donatello)
  • Michelan Sisti (Michelangelo)
  • Josh Pais (Raphael)

But it gets even better — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman will also be there to meet fans and celebrate more than three decades of Turtle power.

This is a rare chance to meet the legends who brought the Turtles from the page to the big screen. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the fandom, these heroes are ready to meet you face-to-face (no Foot Clan interference expected).

What’s a celebration without photo ops? Tucson Comic-Con is bringing in the real deal with:

  • The iconic Ninja Turtles “Party Wagon”
  • Life-sized movie-style Turtle suits

Yes, you read that right. This isn’t some retro Instagram filter — you can actually take photos with the van and the suits straight out of your childhood dreams.

While Turtle Mania might be the highlight, Tucson Comic-Con 2025 is packed with panels, cosplay, collectibles, contests, and more — a full weekend celebrating pop culture in all its geeky glory. The con is now in its 16th year and continues to grow as a community-driven event for fans, families, and fandoms of all kinds.

If you're planning to join the celebration (and why wouldn’t you?), grab your Early Bird tickets before July 1st to lock in discounted memberships. Head over to www.tucsoncomic-con.com/tickets and secure your spot before the Foot Clan tries to hack the site.

MULHOLLAND DRIVE Ending Explained

MULHOLLAND DRIVE is a complex and surreal film directed by David Lynch, known for its non-linear narrative and dreamlike sequences. The ending is open to interpretation and has been the subject of much debate among viewers. Here's a breakdown of the ending: Diane's Dream vs. Reality: Throughout the film, there are two main narrative threads: one follows Betty/Diane's dreamlike experiences in Hollywood, and the other delves into Diane's harsh reality. The ending reveals that the majority of the film has been a dream constructed by Diane Selwyn, a failed actress, as a means to escape the guilt and pain of her actions. Betty/Diane's Descent into Madness: Betty, played by Naomi Watts, represents Diane's idealized self—a hopeful and innocent aspiring actress. However, as the film progresses, it becomes clear that Betty's story is unraveling, and her identity begins to merge with Diane's. This culminates in the revelation that Betty is merely a construct of Di...

Blu-ray Review: Presence

Steven Soderbergh’s Presence is not just a ghost story—it’s a deeply personal, introspective, and stylistically daring supernatural thriller that stands out for its bold use of perspective and moral depth. Shot entirely from the first-person point of view of a spirit, the film immerses the viewer into the consciousness of an unseen entity navigating a family’s domestic unraveling. It’s not only a technical experiment, but a story with emotional weight, subtle revelations, and a chilling undercurrent of tragedy. Premiering at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and released by Neon in early 2025, Presence has become a sleeper hit, earning $10.5 million on a modest $2 million budget. Directed, shot, and edited by Soderbergh, with a script from veteran screenwriter David Koepp, the film offers an experience that is simultaneously eerie, emotionally nuanced, and structurally inventive. From the very first frame, Presence makes its unique perspective clear. The camera doesn’t merely observ...
