Ghostface Returns Home: Scream 7 Hitting 4K UHD and Limited Edition Steelbook This June

The Ghostface masking era enters its next physical chapter this summer. Submersive Media has officially announced that Scream 7, the latest installment in the iconic slasher franchise, is carving its path onto home video. Fans can add the film to their shelves on June 16th, with options including a standard 4K UHD, a highly anticipated Limited Edition 4K UHD Steelbook, and a standard DVD release.

Following its theatrical run earlier this year, the film marks a significant milestone for the franchise, bringing original scribe Kevin Williamson behind the camera as director. Working from a screenplay by Williamson and Guy Busick, with a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt, Scream 7 pivots the narrative focus squarely back to the franchise's ultimate final girl, Sidney Prescott.

The story picks up with Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) attempting to maintain the quiet, protected family life she fought so hard to build, far away from the blood-soaked legacy of Woodsboro. That peace is shattered when Ghostface re-emerges with a calculated vengeance, turning his sights directly onto Sidney's daughter, played by Isabel May. Forced out of hiding to protect her family, Sidney must confront the deep-seated trauma of her past in a relentless, high-stakes battle for survival.

The film boasts a massive ensemble cast that bridges various eras of the franchise, featuring Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, David Arquette, Roger L. Jackson, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, Matthew Lillard, Joel McHale, and Courteney Cox.

Special Features

  • Scar Tissue: The Making Of Scream 7: This centerpiece featurette highlights Kevin Williamson taking the directorial reins of the franchise he helped create. The segment follows the legacy cast members as they navigate the production of what is being billed as the most personal Scream entry to date.
  • Building Tension: Production Design: A deep dive into the physical construction of the film's elaborate, gory death traps. This featurette also provides a detailed, inside look at the reconstruction and return of the iconic Macher house, a location deeply rooted in the franchise's 1996 origins.
  • Dance Of Death: Stunts: A behind-the-scenes look at the grueling physical choreography required to face off against Ghostface. This segment breaks down the intense chase sequences and physical confrontations that define the film's final act.
  • Deleted Scenes: A collection of moments cut from the final theatrical edit, offering a look at additional character beats or subplots that were slashed during post-production.
  • Music Video: The official music video for "Twisting The Knife" by Ice Nine Kills, featuring cast member Mckenna Grace.

With the return of classic locations, a legacy creative force at the helm, and a dedicated 4K presentation, this June release is shaping up to be a mandatory acquisition for horror completists. Whether you are aiming for the shelf-friendly standard 4K or looking to secure the Limited Edition Steelbook, the countdown to June 16th is officially on.

Explaining the Ending of No Country for Old Men

No Country for Old Men is a tense, spare, and philosophical thriller that upends traditional narrative expectations. While it contains the elements of a crime drama—drug deals, hitmen, shootouts—it refuses to follow a conventional path. By the time the film ends, the central conflict seems unresolved, the villain walks away, and the protagonist we’ve been following disappears offscreen. To understand the film’s ending, one must look beyond plot and consider its themes: fate, violence, moral decay, and the erosion of order in the modern world. The Narrative Setup The story begins with Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin), a Vietnam veteran who discovers a drug deal gone wrong in the Texas desert and makes off with $2 million in cash. Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem), a remorseless hitman, is sent to retrieve the money. Sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones), a weary and introspective lawman, tries to make sense of the violence unfolding around him. At first glance, the film appears to set up a c...

Explaining the Ending of MULHOLLAND DRIVE

David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive remains one of the most haunting and enigmatic films ever made. It operates like a riddle that refuses to be solved, luring the viewer into a world where time, memory, and identity dissolve into one another. What begins as a mysterious, almost whimsical Hollywood fairy tale gradually transforms into a psychological nightmare. By the end, it’s clear that what we’ve been watching is not a mystery to be unraveled but an emotional landscape, the mind of a woman caught between fantasy and despair. The film tells the story of two women, Betty Elms and Rita, whose lives intertwine after Rita survives a car crash and loses her memory. Betty, a bright and optimistic aspiring actress freshly arrived in Los Angeles, takes her in. Together, they embark on an investigation into Rita’s identity, which unfolds like a noir detective story bathed in dreamlike light. Everything about this world feels heightened: Betty’s charm, the coincidence of events, and the ease with w...
