The nightmare is finally reaching its endgame. Lionsgate is releasing The Strangers: Chapter 3 on 4K and digital platforms on October 13, 2026, bringing the brutal slasher trilogy to its ultimate conclusion just in time for Halloween streaming marathons.
Renny Harlin is back in the director's chair for this final installment, clocking in at a lean 91 minutes. Madelaine Petsch returns once more as Maya, who also picks up a producer credit this time around. After surviving two whole movies worth of relentless stalking, Maya is taking one last stand against the iconic masked killers in what promises to be a bloody reckoning. Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath round out the returning cast, though the main draw here is seeing whether Maya actually gets her revenge or becomes another statistic.
Writers Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland stick to the foundation laid out by original creator Bryan Bertino, keeping the focus strictly on brutal, full-circle survival horror. Unsurprisingly, the film earns its R rating with heavy doses of strong bloody violence and rough language.
On the technical front, the home release features a crisp 2.39:1 widescreen presentation and an English Dolby Atmos track to make sure every jump scare hits as hard as possible at home. Unlike the feature-packed previous entry, the extra features on this final disc keep things bare-bones, offering just the theatrical trailer.
If you have followed Maya's miserable journey through the first two chapters, you will probably want to see how the story wraps up. October 13 is the day to find out who makes it out alive.
