Saban Films Acquires North American Rights to the Scandinavian Thriller GOOD BOY

  Saban Films announced today that they have acquired the North American rights to the Scandinavian thriller Good Boy from Blue Finch Films. Written and directed by Viljar BΓΈe (Til Freddy), the film stars Gard LΓΈkke (Troll), Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen in her feature film debut, and Amalie Willoch Njaastad (Cabin Crazy). Saban Films is targeting a third quarter theatrical release. The film premiered to acclaim at Beyond Fest in 2022, with Karen Calvey from Morbidly Beautiful declaring, "This smart, surprising, wildly compelling film is full of twists with subversive commentary; Good Boy will make you sit up and take notice.” The review also called the film “a haunting new twist on the man’s best friend trope, Good Boy need not beg for attention; the solid plot, fantastic cast, and unique premise promise enough tricks to keep its audience invested." RELAY Announcement - New Film Starring Riz Ahmed and Lily James

Black Bear Pictures announced today that Academy Award®-Winner Riz Ahmed (The Long Goodbye, Sound of Metal, “The Night Of”) and Emmy-nominated actress Lily James (“Pam & Tommy”, Baby Driver) will star in the gripping contemporary new thriller Relay. Uwe Boll Announces Return to Feature Films After 5 Year Absence

  Uwe Boll, the often controversial and divisive filmmaker plans to return after a 5 year hiatus. His latest project FIRST SHIFT is a crime drama that follows a NYC police officer and his rookie partner Angela over the course of a 12-hour shift. Gino Anthony Pesi (Shades of Blue, Ambitions) and Kristen Renton (Sons of Anarchy, Days of Our Lives) have been cast in the central roles. Additional cast includes Onye Eme-Akwari (Outer Banks), Willie C. Carpenter (Men in Black), Garry Pastore (THE IRISHMAN), and Cate Bottiglione (Law & Order: Organized Crime). FIRST SHIFT is currently in pre-production, with filming beginning this Spring in New York.  FIRST SHIFT aims to be a gripping tale that captures the essence of life as a cop in one of America's busiest cities. Roadside Attractions to Release the Poignant Female Comedy MY HAPPY ENDING, Starring Andie MacDowell - Only in Theaters February 24th

PLANE Crashes Into PVOD This Week!

  In the white-knuckle action movie Plane, pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island — only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. SKINAMARINK Smashes Box Office Expectations

IFC Midnight and Shudder released SKINAMARINK to audiences with an overwhelming response, bringing theater-goers the promise of a completely new experience. Does the film make good on that promise or fall victim to the internet hype machine? Well, it depends on the viewer. Passionately polarizing reviews from critics and audiences have the horror community buzzing and made this little experimental flick the must see film of the season.  SKINAMARINK has crossed $1 million at the North American box office just 6 days into release on partial screens - earning the film an impressive 67X its production budget of 15K.
