One of the world's biggest annual music festivals, Summer Sonic, will stream legendary archive live performances on July 22 and 23 for Free via the Summer Sonic YouTube channel:  HERE Day 2 (Thursday, July 23) of the streaming event will present epic sets from Green Day (2012), Nine Inch Nails (2009), Rihanna (2012), The Prodigy (2008), and X JAPAN (2011). X JAPAN’s appearance at Summer Sonic was part of the group’s world tour which took them to Asia, Europe, South America, and culminated in New York at Madison Square Garden. On Thursday, July 23, the Summer Sonic performances will be available for streaming, for 24 hours only beginning at 8:00PM Japan time (4:00AM in Los Angeles, 7:00AM in New York). Beginning today through Friday, July 31st, NEON has made the critically acclaimed film CLEMENCY available to stream for free on Apple TV, Amazon and Fandago Now, Redbox On Demand, Spectrum, Xfinity, Verizon FIOS, Dish, Cox and Altice. Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, announced today that it has commissioned scripts for a full third season of Creepshow, showrun and executive produced by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and based on George A. Dubbed ”the Sultan of Splatter” for his groundbreaking FX work on influential ‘70s and ‘80s films like Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th and Creepshow, Savini has also made a name for himself as a stuntman, actor (From Dusk ‘til Dawn), director (including the 1990 version of Night of the Living Dead and the story “By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain” in last year’s Creepshow series) and teacher. YouTube has given a straight-to-series order for WEIRD CITY , a half-hour comedic sci-fi anthology co-created by Academy Award and Emmy Award winning writer Jordan Peele and Emmy Award nominated writer Charlie Sanders (Key and Peele). The six-episode series will debut exclusively on YouTube Premium in 2019. Emmy winner Adam Bernstein (Fargo, Scrubs, 30 Rock) is set to direct the first two episodes. Ironically enough films have moved away from conversation and grown (or digressed) into an era of pure visual spectacle. The Trouble with the Truth is a throw back in many ways but in others its quite progressive. The film centers around Emily (Lea Thompson) and Robert (John Shea) who are divorced couple having dinner, that's it, a couple talking. This is the kind of film that we rarely see, one that is completely built on performance and writing. The set pieces in this film are emotional ones and they carry far more weight than anything I've seen in a multiplex for years. Thompson gives the strongest performance of her career and is absolutely captivating to watch in this film. I've always enjoyed her work but I had no idea how good she was.
