CLEAN SLATE Trailer and Release Info

Global Digital Releasing will release the award-winning documentary Clean Slate, the latest from Emmy-Nominated filmmaker Jared Callahan (Janey Makes A Play), on digital December 2.   Pic, which played to raves at over fifteen international film festivals, tells of two friends in a Southern drug recovery program struggling to cope with their addiction and mental illness by making a short film about the pain they’ve caused their families.   The film, equal parts topical and captivating, was produced by Callahan and Jonathan Pickett. STAY THE NIGHT Opens in Toronto and Vancouver November 18th

The film will open in Toronto and Vancouver theatres on November 18th. But when she meets CARTER STONE, a professional NHL player with his own decision, she wonders if maybe Carter is the solution to her problem. After their first attempt at a one-night stand goes awry, they end up spending the evening walking and talking through the streets of downtown Toronto, leading them to a connection neither of them expected.  Prior to it's theatrical opening, the film will open the Vancouver Asian Film Festival on November 3rd and showcase at the Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival on November 11th.

We see only short glimpses of the aftermath.  Instead, we watch a community of women come together as they must decide, in a very short space of time, what their collective response will be.  When I read Miriam Toews’ book, it sunk deep into me, raising questions and thoughts about the world I live in that I had never articulated. Questions about forgiveness, faith, systems of power, trauma, healing, culpability, community, and self-determination.
