Following Films: John Pogue on ERASER REBORN

  Today I’m joined by John Pogue (The Quiet Ones, Deep Blue Sea 3)  to discuss his latest film ERASER REBORN. ERASER REBORN is the next chapter to Eraser (1996) the Chuck Russell directed action thriller that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a U.S. Marshall assigned to “erase” the identity of a witness he is assigned to protect. U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard specializes in “erasing” people – faking the deaths of high-risk witnesses. With the technological advances of the last 25 years, the game has upgraded, and it’s just another day at the office when he’s assigned to Rina Kimura, a crime boss’ wife who’s decided to turn state’s evidence. As the two flee to Cape Town, South Africa, with a team of merciless assassins on their trail, Pollard discovers he’s been set up. Following Films Podcast: Tribeca Film Festival 2022 - Josh Leong on CHICKEN

  Today I'm joined by director Josh Leong to discuss his live-action narrative short, CHICKEN. The film was inspired by the true stories of real children he first met while volunteering in NYC juvenile detention centers in the summer of 2021. This topical film will screen in competition at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, featuring a real prison chick-hatching program, that the filmmakers partnered with. Screenings at the Tribeca Film Festival will be held on Sunday, June 12th at 5:45 pm and Monday, June 13th at 5:45 pm. The film is produced by Denyvi Rose, Nadera Herbert-Bey, Catherine Nguyen and Josh Leong – all NYU students. The stunning cinematography was created by Luc Ung. Taking place in 1974, "18½" is about a fictional  White House transcriber finds the only copy of the infamous 18½-minute gap in Nixon's Watergate tapes but her attempts to leak it to the press run afoul of hippies, swingers and nefarious forces.

Sara Tomko is an actor, singer, producer & poet currently residing in Los Angeles.  She moved from the east coast in 2007 to pursue film & television.  Her most notable roles are The Cave Woman on HBO’s Season Two opener of The Leftovers, a recurring guest star as Suzanne on Amazon Prime’s Sneaky Pete and she is currently starring as Asta Twelvetrees on SyFy’s Resident Alien.  Sara has a film production company with her husband, Theodore Pederson, called In The Pocket Productions.  They produced a short film that premiered in July 2018 at the Laemmle NoHo 7 called Girls, Girls, Girls: Or As Tammy Withers Away and are working on their first feature, an arthouse horror, to be filmed in 2023. Last night at the Oscars, in a truly unprecedented moment, Will Smith left his seat, walked on stage, and hit Chris Rock in the face.
